Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Work

Master Green Homes Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Master Green”) agrees to supply and install a new HVAC system (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) for your residential property located at [Property Address]. This includes:

• Removal and disposal of existing HVAC equipment (if applicable).
• Selection and supply of a new HVAC system based on a site evaluation and your specific needs.
• Installation of the new HVAC system according to manufacturer's specifications and local building codes.
• System startup and operational test.
• [Optional] Basic homeowner orientation on system operation and maintenance.

2. Equipment and Materials

Master Green will provide all necessary equipment and materials for the installation,  including:

• New HVAC unit(s) (furnace, air conditioner, air handler, etc.)
• Ductwork (if applicable)
• Thermostats
• Refrigerant lines and electrical wiring (up to a pre-determined distance)
• Installation materials (insulation, hangers, straps, etc.)

3. Exclusions

The following items are not included in the scope of work and may incur additional charges:

• Electrical work beyond pre-determined distance for connection.
• Plumbing work beyond pre-determined distance for condensate drain.
• Permit fees and inspections.
• Additional ductwork or modifications to existing ductwork beyond standard installation.
• Removal of hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos).
• Disconnection and disposal of existing oil tanks (if applicable).
• Electrical panel upgrades (if necessary).

4. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

• Providing Master Green with clear and unobstructed access to the work area.
• Obtaining any necessary permits or approvals from relevant authorities.
• Disconnecting and removing any personal belongings from the work area.
• Ensuring the work area is free of hazards like gas lines, electrical wires, or plumbing.
• Providing a safe and accessible power source for equipment operation.
• [Optional]  Disposing of any removed furniture or appliances (if applicable).

5. Payment Terms

• A  deposit is required upon contract signing.
• The remaining balance is due upon completion of the installation and your satisfaction.
• Master Green accepts cash, check, credit card.

6. Warranties

• Master Green warrants all labor for a period of One year against defects in workmanship.
• Manufacturer warranties will cover all new equipment and materials. Details and duration will vary depending on the specific product.
• Master Green will assist the customer in obtaining warranty service from the manufacturer if needed.

7. Change Orders

Any changes to the scope of work after the contract is signed will require a written change order signed by both parties. The change order will detail the additional work required and any associated cost adjustments.

8. Cancellations

• The customer may cancel the contract before work commences with a full refund of the deposit.
• If the customer cancels the contract after work has begun, the customer will be responsible for all costs incurred up to the point of cancellation, including materials purchased and labor performed.

9. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from these terms and conditions, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute amicably through negotiation. If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be settled by [dispute resolution method, e.g., binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association].

10. Entire Agreement

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between Master Green Homes Inc. and the customer and supersede any prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario.

12. Severability

If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

13. Insurance

Master Green maintains general liability and worker's compensation insurance.

14. Notice

Any notices required or permitted hereunder shall be in writing and shall be deemed to have been duly given when delivered in person, sent by certified or registered mail, return receipt requested, postage prepaid, or sent by overnight courier service to the addresses set forth below:
